  • Dhaka Division

Dhaka is the capital and the largest city of Bangladesh. It is also a division according to the administrative structure of Bangladesh. It has an area of 20,593.74 km² and  populated with 36,054,418 people in the estimation of year 2011.

Dhaka Division is formerly known as Dacca Division of East Pakistan province which had 2 City Corporations, 13 Districts, 93 Upazilas and 1,239 Union Parishads.

It is surrounded by Mymensingh Division, Barisal Division, Chittagong Division, Sylhet Division, Rangpur Division, and Rajshahi and Khulna Divisions respectively  to the North, South, South-East, East, North-West, West.
